A new business. With bonus material and bloopers and all. And you're right, I changed the title. Bit too presumptious. But if you want to find out more, got to learn Dutch first. Coz I tried in English, i really did, and it's just too much struggle. And hey i am lot smarter and wittier in my own language. So what i'll do; i'll just give it a go and juice it up with some Dutch whenever i am stuck. K?

Wii and Me

So we surrendered and the kids have their Wii.
Thing is Robbert is getting seriously addicted. He is up till 2 am (no kidding) to see if he can get onto the next level.
Caroline is doing pretty good at tennis which surprises me to be honest.

What doesn't surprise me that all kids burst out crying about 3 times a day coz their brother/sister is in the way/not paying attention/the remote doesn't respond they want/they simply are too late/early.

Who do you think they got it from?

Yes, so do I

See, i have this theory that growing up with a sibling (in my case my sister Thea who is the stern looking one Robbert is talking to in the pictures underneath) gives an average child so much aggrevation and social practice, by the time I was 15 i had had enough and could communicate with others normally. I also understood you won some and you lost some.

Robbert grew up as an only child. His sister died when he was 5 and since then he got what he wanted, the way he wanted.

First Laura tried to get some sense in him.
And now that noble task is mine.

So bear with me ladies & gentlemen and think of me next time Obama/Jan Peter needs someone with great diplomatic skills.

And modesty.

It's a good thing you didn't see this one beforehand Chelsea, or you would have thought twice.

Morten, Timo and Caroline. Honestly they all look crazy.

Timo turned 8

Tomorrow is his birthday party. We go swimming in some awful modern pool where they have scary tubes to glide through and stuff a grown up 42 yr old like me, just isn't comfortable with.
Can you tell I am really looking forward to it?

Sinterklaas

It's almost 4 days now that Abigail is here and boy Caroline is so happy.
She just sticks to her like glue.
With her 6 year old diplomatic skills she told Melissa yesterday she was making a beautiful drawing. But not for her. For Abigail. lol.

Anyway, i am quite zen at the moment but the last days sinterklaas stress hit us all hard.
Presents, suprises (the dutch version) and poems were all that was on my mind.
we are celebrating tonight/later today at my sisters in Den Haag and with Jessica and 3 grandma's coming too, there will be about 17 people so full house!
I am really looking forward to it and will show you the photo's later!
