A new business. With bonus material and bloopers and all. And you're right, I changed the title. Bit too presumptious. But if you want to find out more, got to learn Dutch first. Coz I tried in English, i really did, and it's just too much struggle. And hey i am lot smarter and wittier in my own language. So what i'll do; i'll just give it a go and juice it up with some Dutch whenever i am stuck. K?

Just a dream and the wind to carry me and soon i will be free.

So, about a month ago we decided to go sailing.
In Croatia, starting in Zadar. We rented a boat with 3 cabins and all the stuff needed and then realized we have never ever sailed on a big boat like this, let alone on the sea.
The rental conditions specified someone on board needed his or her VHF (very high frequency) certificate in order to talk to port people or other ships in case of an emergency.
AND someone of the crew also needed his or her international certificate of competence for inland AND coastal waters.

Now Robbert has had knee surgery 3 weeks back and was at home on sick leave so we mutually decided, we´d both try for the vhf thing, but he would go for the ICC.
Serious stuff ladies and people.
This is about rules on the water. About lights on buoys, about right of way on the water. About drifts and currents and finding your path on the sea.

Today however, I can proudly announce that he passed.
Absolutely relieved (we would have had to have a shipper flown in otherwise, coz we wouldn´t have been allowed to steer the boat on our own).
Still waiting on the VHF results to be honest, so fingers crossed, but I am very proud of him sofar.
