Gaz leak

Do you believe this or what.

Yesterday evening the new heating installation and boiler were installed, kids had been in the tub, everyone relieved untill I smelled gaz.

Now a while ago when we were installing all the closests upstairs we discovered some gazpipe that comes out of a wall.
No kidding.
We thought it was out of order, did several experiments (light a match and wait for 10 seconds) (duh..course not)
but apparently the thing is leaking.
And apart from that, there was no electricity at the back of the house.

What is going on here peeps?

We have just renovated the entire place, i mean the bags are still in the living room, painters are doing their thing and now the big bad pig is going to huff and puff and blow the house down?

This morning at 6.45 the electrician stood on the doorstep, to be followed by 3 painters half an hr later, the builder is coming too and the door still needs to be fixed.
Who said we were nearly there?
